The Kerosene Lantern Series: 👣🥤☕️Bunyip Vlogs vs The Netnet Swarm.

Deep within the Forgotten Swamp, rumours spread among local youngsters about a mysterious patch of Green Vegetable Material (GVM) said to make worries disappear and make anyone feel fearless.

One moonlit night, four curious youngsters sneak into the swamp hoping to find it.

What begins as an adventure quickly becomes something far more dangerous.

The deeper they travel, the thicker the mist becomes.

Strange voices whisper from the darkness.

Unseen eyes watch from the reeds.

And somewhere beyond the firelight, the Net-Net Swarm is waiting.

Watching from the shadows is Bunyip Vlogs, the ancient guardian of the billabong.

A towering orange-haired swamp dweller known to locals as a scruffy wild man who runs a Dirty Soda and Coffee shop beside the water.

What they don't know is that Bunyip is far older than anyone imagines.

He is a keeper of stories.

A protector of youngsters.

A carrier of the Kerosene Lantern.

Before the children wander too far, Bunyip intercepts them and leads them back to a campfire on the edge of the swamp.

There, beneath the glow of the lantern and the warmth of the flames, he tells them a story.

A story about the first Net-Nets.

The youngsters learn a terrifying truth:

Every Net-Net was once a child.

Long ago, lonely youngsters followed whispers into the swamp.

The voices promised friendship.

Belonging.

Escape.

Understanding.

But the deeper they travelled, the more they forgot.

They forgot their families.

They forgot their dreams.

They forgot their names.

Eventually all that remained was hunger, loneliness, and darkness.

The Net-Nets were born.

Yet Bunyip reveals something even more surprising.

He does not hate the Net-Nets.

He pities them.

Because he remembers who they once were.

Every Net-Net is a youngster he could not save.

Every pair of glowing eyes in the darkness once belonged to somebody's son or daughter.

That is why Bunyip carries the lantern.

Not to fight the lost.

But to guide them home.

As the fire burns low and the children listen, the swamp itself seems to listen too.

The mist shifts.

The darkness watches.

And somewhere beyond the reeds, the Net-Net Swarm stirs.

Waiting.

Remembering.

Hungry for new members.

Or an Alternative Ending….

Key Message

The real danger isn't the swamp.

The real danger is wandering so far from the people who care about you that you forget who you are.

And sometimes the bravest thing a person can do is stay close to the fire.

"The lost can still be found."

"That's why I carry the light."
